| This fall i am going to wheaton college. Despite my past bitterness toward the school, i am really excited. I just found out that my dear friend noelle and i are going to be able to room together in an apartment. That is going to be really fun. Today britta is acting really strange. i think she feels old. she has been following us around all day and wants to be right next to us wherever we are. i havent done very much today. i cant decide if i dont feel well or not. this year on the 4th of july weekend my family and i went to KY to visit my grandparents. while there, david, dad, and i went on an adventure. we rented a canoe and a kayak and spent the day on a river. it was really beautiful. we also saw daniel boones grave. i love my family.

| I really should tell you the end of our adventure on the beach. after the girls and i tired of collecting beach glass, seashells, and indian beads, we saw in the distance a group of short round people playing vollyball. As they got closer, they realized it was not people at all but large porqupines. They loved to play vollyball, but in order for the ball not to be popped on their sharp quills, they had to roll on their back and hit it with their legs. To see a group of porqupines rolling back and forth on their backs and playing vollyball was quite humorous to me and the other girls, and we would have accepted the invitation to join them had we not been worried we would accidentl bump into one of the rolling porqupines and stuck by the quills. we were entertained just by watching. after we watched a few rounds, the sun began to sink, and it was time we headed back to our home. we walked back along the beach and through the golden woods unitl we reached Jodi's house where we rested from our tiring yet adventourous day. the end. (this is a believe it or not story)

| Its been awhile, June is almost over. How is it that summer always seems to go so fast? i feel so busy. working at the hospital and being an intern at church is pretty hectic, but i feel like i am acomplishing something. the other night some youth group girls and i were walking to the beach on a little path. as we walked along, the trees started to change. first it was just the leaves that were gold, then the branches, then the entire tree. all around us was golden woods. then we got to the beach... it looked more beautiful than ever before. the waves were gently crashing on the shore and the sky was a brilliant blue. as we walked along, we saw dolphins jump in the waves and pelicans dive from the sky. as we walked, we came upon a little cabana hut with a little old man in it. He had brown leathery skin, a white beard and a hawain printed hat with matching shorts. a skull and crossbones tattoo marked his left shoulder, and a sparrow was on his right. he asked us if we would like a pina colada, and of course we said yes. then he jumped up and with suprising agility, shimmied up a palm tree and threw down some coconuts. then he opened them with his machete and bleneded us up a delicious concoxtion. we said thank you and continued on our way, sipping our pina coladas (virgin of course) and collecting seashells.
